This wasn't achieved by the means that people usually do, but in my opinion, it definitely counts. If anything, it should count for double!
To get married, my wife & I had hired out a mansion in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. It was great. Loads of space, the chance to do whatever we wanted & all the guests on site for the whole weekend.
In the grounds of the location was a nice sized swimming pool. We all joked on the Friday evening that we should take a dip in our birthday suits at some point, but I don't think anybody really had any intention of actually doing it. I have to confess, as with a lot of with many of the listed tasks, I did have the extra motivation of this particular challenge! I was seriously considering it just to tick it off the list!
We got married. The reception started & the alcohol flowed. Part of the agreement with the owners of the mansion was that come midnight, the party moved from the marquee that we had set up outside to inside the main hall. Clearly my Dad & friends saw this as a prime opportunity to exact a a plan they hadn't been able to execute on my Stag & embarrass me One last time. Or so I thought!
At midnight, my dad, who was on the decks as DJ at the time summoned everyone to the pool area, where I would in his words "Complete another task from the Bloody book". I knew I had to oblige or never hear the end of it & being the sport I am, I stripped.
"Right, we want you to jump in & swim from One side to the other" my Dad said.
To my amazement, I turned round & saw Four of my other friends stood there, lining up to take the plunge - also completely in the buff. "You're not having all the fun!", they shouted! My Dad then called the words "Ready, steady go" & we all launched ourselves in, touched the opposite end of the pool & splashed our way back.
I have know idea who won the race. Before we had even reached our goal, half of the wedding party had jumped in. Some with all their clothes on, some with underwear & more with nothing at all, each with a bottle of Champagne or beer in their hands!
Not the conventional way to entertain yourselves at a wedding, but
