Own a pointless collection.

There are far too many to mention here. Sticker collections that were never quite finished. A seashell collection that ended up as nice decorations in my mum’s bathroom. A Beer mat selection that when I picked up as a bulk pack in a shop on holiday seemed like a good idea at the time soon became a fad when I realized at the age of 10 it would take another 8 years to add to it!

My biggest collection was Subbuteo. I had everything from the stands to ball boys to riot Police. It was set up permanently in a static caravan at the bottom of my mum & step dads garden & I was very proud of it. The problem here is that it actually had a function. You could actually do something with it!

I’m going to go for a collection of football figures called Prostars. They were plastic caricature figures of famous footballers & I had a ton of them. I even had the official display stands that they all went on. From Ryan Gigs to Jan Moby, they were all there. & all utterly pointless! All lined up on my bedroom wall unit collecting dust. They confused my friends, who could not understand why I was spending so much money on plastic & drove mum mad because she had to clean them.

Yes I have kept them. Some still in their boxes where I’m convinced they’ll make me money One day. I still don’t know why I thought it a good idea to start such a ridiculous hobby!
